The tables above make the alternative choice of harp for cross-harp playing very clear as long as you do not confuse one table for the other!

Notice that in the last two examples if you really ever need to go to those very extreme keys, you may have to choose what appears to be a sharp key to play in a flat key, but these are fortunately extremely rare requirements!

All the above assume the most common form of cross harp playing which means that you blow the 3rd or 6th hole to produce your key note instead of the original 1st or 4th.
